Frequently Asked Questions

Why has the US government, State governments and local governments failed to provide a system to transport hemp products safely and efficiently from state to state?

The 2018 Farm Bill required a "real time shared information for law enforcement" system that mandated multiple federal, state and local agencies to work in concert with private stakeholders to navigate the competing legal and business interests of the hemp/CBD market.  Despite defining the articulated requirements and the creation of opportunity, bureaucratic indifference created a stalemate in government to deploy a functional system. BCAGS is a private disabled veteran owned business created by former federal and state governmental law enforcement agents/officers that is not impaired by the prototypical governmental bureaucratic stalemate. This allows BCAGS to leverage its unique position to create an optimal solution for all stakeholders.  Note:  Although BCAGS Agricultural Block Chain (ACB) was initially designed to solve the challenges imposed by the 2018 Farm Bill on the agricultural market, the BCAGS solution also solves many other issues that exist in the broader agricultural market.

How does the legal protection for hemp work?

If your business has uploaded all of its regulatory compliance documents in the BCAGS Agricultural Compliance Blockchain and any commodity or proceeds are unlawfully seized by law enforcement, our partner law firm will represent as your legal counsel to recover and defend property or persons via legal torts.

How does the BCAGS block chain help private business?

Generally - A private business (i.e. a cultivator, a processor, a retailer, a lab. etc) pays for the ACB through tax revenues paid to the government.  In short, BCAGS will be paid through contracts with various governmental entities which will allow private stakeholders to utilizes the software free of any additional fees or costs.  A cultivator will be able to easily plot their parcel of land through the ACB and attach all relevant permits, lab tests, and invoices/manifests to the parcel.  The parcel can be subdivided and broken down to allow sufficient flexibility to market the product.  The product will be tracked through a link in the ACB (i.e use your own tracking system or the ACB partnered system) to track the commodity regardless of the stakeholder.  All relevant documents are captured in the digital ledger and are available for each stakeholder in the transaction.  A QR code is assigned for each transport/manifest that will again, allow all stakeholders in the transaction to easily access and track the product.  Note:  This includes law enforcement interdiction efforts as well as those receiving the transport who can quickly and efficiently inventory and validate the shipment in real time with a standard smart phone or similar device.

How does law enforcement access the blockchain?

Law enforcement officers can scan a QR code generated by the blockchain through a standard smart phone or provide basic information to their respective dispatch to access our software system through a standard internet web portal.  Regardless of the method used, the law enforcement officers with be provided real time information regarding the contents of the intercepted transport.  This will include all stakeholder information immortalized in the block chain ledger which will include, but not be limited to, permits, lab tests, manifests, invoices, and other basic stakeholder information vital to validate legal compliance. Of note, the law enforcement officer or dispatch needs to create a BCAGS account or login to an existing account to verify the relevant documents.  There are no additional fees required for each law enforcement officer/agent/agency to utilize the service.
